On Sunday, December 21, 2008, Brookfield Presbyterian Church held its annual Live Nativity Service. After a church service indoors, the congregation moved into the hallway to start the nativity portion. Due to the sub-zero temperatures and strong wind, baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, the wise men and the angels stayed in the warmth of the entryway, while the donkey, alpaca, sheep and geese braved the cold just outside the door. After the nativity service, the congregation gathered for hot chocolate and fellowship. Thank you to everyone who took part in this event and to those that donated food for the food pantry.

On August 10, 2008, the Brookfield Presbyterian "neighborhood" Church held an outdoor worship service. Following worship, with God blessing us with a beautiful day, there was a outdoor brunch, pony rides, small animals and can you believe a blue grass band. Members brought friends and the neighbors were all invited.
