Pastor’s Message
Peace be with you in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Welcome to the website of Brookfield Presbyterian Church… and to the family of faith who gather here. We are a Christian congregation in the denomination of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
We believe that “the good news of the Gospel is that the triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—creates, redeems, sustains, rules, and transforms all things and all people” (Book of order F-1.01). It is this good news that guides us as we seek to help each other in this journey of life and faith. Many dimensions of our current culture can derail us in any number of ways, but together we support, pray for, and encourage each other as we discover together how God is working in our lives.
We here at Brookfield Presbyterian Church welcome you… yes YOU! We welcome you as a child of God no matter if you are already a follower of Jesus, or if you are questioning what faith in Jesus is all about. Through our sharing of experiences, studying scripture, and engaging the world, we believe we can best hear God’s voice speaking to us in this time.
Mission is important to us! We value the longstanding relationships we have built with numerous organizations—Waukesha Food Pantry; St. Vincent DePaul Meal Site; Agape House; Cornerstone Foundation (supports a hospital in Honduras); and many others. We celebrate that the Lord works through us to help those less fortunate… and we stand in awe at the joy and gift of friendship we have received in return.
Worship in our faith family is welcoming to all generations—in fact, while we do have a nursery we enjoy the youngest members of our family joining us in worship. A small voice among us can often point to just what the Holy Spirit is up to at any given moment.
It is my ongoing delight to share in the faith journey of this congregation. They continue to teach me so much about the meaning of following Jesus, and I look with anticipation into the future of this adventurous journey we share together. Won’t you join us?
